When we let God fight our battles and allow Him to work behind the scenes, our lives slowly fill with peace, purpose, and warmth.
This rich beef stew is a comforting reminder that patience, like slow cooking, brings out the best flavors in life.
π΄ Ingredients
500 g beef cubes (boneless stewing beef)
2 tablespoons oil or butter
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 carrots, sliced
2 potatoes, peeled and diced
1 tomato, chopped (or 2 tablespoons tomato paste)
3 cups beef stock or water
1 teaspoon mixed herbs (thyme or rosemary)
1 tablespoon flour (for thickening)
Salt & pepper to taste

- Brown the beef: Heat oil in a large pot. Add beef cubes and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- SautΓ© aromatics: In the same pot, add onion and garlic. SautΓ© until golden and fragrant.
- Add veggies: Stir in carrots, potatoes, and tomato. Cook for 3β4 minutes.
- Simmer: Return beef to the pot. Sprinkle flour, stir well, then add stock.
- Season: Add herbs, salt, and pepper. Bring to a gentle boil.
- Slow cook: Cover and simmer for 45β60 minutes, stirring occasionally until beef and vegetables are tender and the sauce is rich.
