Oven-Baked Chicken Wings: Joy in Small Bites

Finding Strength and Joy Around the Table

Scripture: “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” – Nehemiah 8 : 10

🌿 Intro / Reflection

Happiness doesn’t always come from grand moments — sometimes it’s found in small bites, warm laughter, and the company of loved ones.
These crispy, oven-baked chicken wings are a delicious reminder that joy is simple, real, and best when shared.
No deep fryer needed — just faith, flavor, and family.

🍴 Ingredients

1 kg chicken wings, cut into drumettes and flats

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon honey or BBQ sauce (for glazing)

Fresh parsley or chili flakes for garnish (optional)

🔥 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Set to 200 °C (400 °F). Line a baking tray with foil or parchment paper.
  2. Season: In a bowl, mix olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss chicken wings until well coated.
  3. Bake: Arrange wings on the tray in a single layer. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway.
  4. Glaze: In the last 5 minutes, brush wings with honey or BBQ sauce and return to the oven.
  5. Serve hot — with a sprinkle of parsley or chili flakes and a smile of gratitude.

✨ Faith Reflection

Life’s sweetest blessings often come in small portions — laughter shared, prayers whispered, and meals enjoyed together.
Joy multiplies when shared, and the joy of the Lord strengthens our hearts far more than any meal ever could.
